Holiday in May !

on 1st of may in Thailand they have a holiday for labor day and this year they have a long holiday (from fri to wed) and It's like songkran holiday. so we decided to go somewhere we never go before. first is Hua Hin trip that I alr told you before and we go to madame tussaud & Sealife. Because we had an ED-Visa so we can paid with resident price, so we paid 50% off and because we bought 2 of them directly so that cheaper to buy a combo. you also can buy with special price if you buy online or used BTS map for foreigner price.

for more information you can see at sealife bangkok website. Sea life is in Siam Paragon & Madame Tussaud in Siam Discovery, but when I came back on August Siam Discovery is still in renovation and if I'm not wrong that will operate soon on 2016. overall, if you like to take a photo I suggest you to go to madame tussaud and come early because if you come after lunch that place will be really crowed. a lot of tourist form Indonesia (exactly from their language) come to take a photo because we don't have something like that in Indonesia. But, if you alr come to another Madame Tussaud I think you don't need to come there again (lol!!) I take a lot of photo there (maybe because we alr paid for some money that we save) and after that we decide to come back home and go to sea life on the next day. for some tourist they do that both in the same day. but, because we have a lot of time we decide like that. In sea life we are not take a lot of photo of our self but we take a lot of photo of that sea creatures. The most of attraction that I like was mermaid tales. I like that much ~ they used thai for the stories but I still enjoy that show. the other show just like feeding the animal. maybe that quite interesting for a children. I'll show you some of our trip there.

And this is a video for mermaid show ~  on my facebook but I alr make that public :) so you can enjoy that too

A Trip to Hua Hin

My first long trip in Thailand was Hua Hin. But, from our plan we just want to went to cha am to visit santorini park and swiss sheep farm. But, we only visit santorini park & camel something ~ after that we took a van to hua hin beach ... because everyone said that hua hin beach better than in pattaya. okay, I'll start my story :)

From KU we took 510 or 290 from vipavadi gate to victory monument ~ we woke up really early because our trip at lease 2/3 hours. okay, we arrived there and we tried to find a van to go there, and we asked someone. They couldn't speak english well but they understand that we want to go to cha am. We paid 160 bath to cha am from victory monument. But, if you want to go to hua hin directly you just need to paid 180 bath.

Finally, we took a van to Hua Hin and we told the driver to stop at santorini park and from our imagination santorini park seem really large and like a theme park. We took around 2.5 hours for our trip to santorini park but we were shock because we must to stop in the highway without the stair or something to cross the road. We were confuse and that day was really really HOT !! >.< we still don't have our own ID card so we must to paid like foreigner 150 bath, for thai residence you just need to pay 50 bath. We just visit somewhere that we arrived, we saw a lot of animal there and we can play with them.

But we can't stand to stay longer there and we decided to cross that road and go to santorini park. But, our mood not so good there so we don't really want to take a photo there :') so, we just take some photo, but trust me, in santorini park I think the best part were taking a photo, because if you want to play a ride you must to pay more and that quite expensive. I think if you play in a dream world (theme park in Bangkok) will be better. and I'll show you some of our photo there.

Santorini park is not too big but too hot (I think) so after we saw all of them we decided to move but and we tried to go to swiss sheep farm, we ask someone and they said you just need to walk around 1 km. But, when we tried that we think that we are a loner who lost in a dessert >.< because we can't take a van easily from there and that day is still really HOT :( we just tried to be more patient to walk there but we just arrived at camel republic.

we just sit there and then we take some photo and we decided to go to Hua Hin then go to swiss sheep farm because we need to walk and we don't want to go back there only to go to Hua Hin because that too far :( okay some p' ka (someone from camel republic) help us there to take a van, he can't speak english but he's really kind... and we finally have our van to hua hin and from cha am really like a long way to go.. so we wait and finally we are there... yup, we think that we can saw sunset there but that's totally fail T.T nothing there but, we found a lot of horse and dogs there.

In Hua Hin, you can buy something cheaper than in Bangkok but not everything and maybe because we can talk in thai that they give us a cheaper price but I really don't know about that. because everytime we buy something we can have something cheaper than thai resident. #lol.

Sign board in Hua Hin is quite similar in some place, like this

But, we couldn't stay for longer time because we must to go back to Bangkok again and when we arrived at that place before to take a van back they said that the last van to Bangkok will depart at 8 p.m and we're there around 7.40 and we still need to walk around 1/2 km to get there :( so, we run there and when we arrived someone call a van maybe and we wait around 30 mins or longer Idk exacly because we were too tired that day. But, we can arrived safely in our dorm at 1 am (maybe) and we have a really unforgettable story because of that :( because we really don't know if we can't go back to Bangkok where we can stay for that night :(

That's the end of my stories... if you want to know more you can ask me via email : fitatha08@gmail.com and I'll try to help you and answer everything that you want to know :)

China Town (Bangkok-Thailand)

Last week, me and my friends go to China Town in Bangkok it's really far far away from our dorm and we are lost again and again (it's really like 2 PM song) *kidding*

First, we take MRT to Hua Lampong Station, for your information you can take a bus to Hua Lampong station from chatunchak or Siam. If you want to go from siam you can take 602 (if i'm not wrong). And It's really far from MRT station (trust me) it's around 1 km when I use my map to go back from boat station (river side) and our way to go back home is only by Bus to siam or by boat to asiatique and we choose to use a boat back to nearest BTS station.

P.S : if you get lost just see the map around and just search the nearest BTS or MRT station. you can take a taxi if you really don't know where to go but still turn on your GPS.

I really expected more than that, but you can buy a lot of stuff at china town with a cheap price, most of them will give you a cheaper one if you buy more than 2 item. :) It's really just a market and a lot of GOLD shop. I dont really know about that but the shop always crowd with people, maybe the price is quite cheap. I don't really suggest you to go there because everywhere is too far if you walk around, you must to take a taxi (most of the people said that).

In our way to China Town we cross the road and saw a really big Komodo (I think) and I take a photo of that things but I scared, and we met with a boy who cannot speak thai or english, I think he's korean and we go to the same place but he said he don't know how to go to china town :") It's really sad when you travel and get lost and no one can tell you where to go and when you alr in that place it's really a waste when you don't walk around and buy something (for me it's to make me remember that I alr been there).  I usually update the photo in my facebook account so, because most of the photo still in my camera so I'll let you know later :)

Songkran Festival (Bangkok)

Finally I alr give up to play water splash at Songkran Festival :)
Okay, now I'll let you know about Songkran Festival :) for more detail about songkran festival you can check in wikipedia (click here).

First, you must to prepare everything like a dark clothes and waterproof case plus sunglasses or glasses to protect ur eyes :) you can buy everywhere but if you alr buy never ask another place because it can be cheaper or more expensive. if you want to have a "sanuk" which mean fun way to play at songkran festival you can buy water gun (you can choose your own water gun). you can find everything in every place around Bangkok with cheap price for waterproof case and glasses is around 10 bath until 50 bath. for a clothes around 80 bath until 200 bath and for water gun start from 50 bath and I think the most expensive one that I saw is around 400 bath :D

First day of Songkran I went to Khaosan Road :) I went by Bus :) Don't worry you can ask everyone for the information or if there is a really famous place you can go to information box and they alr write everything there with english (alphabet). Okay, when I came first is still okay and I can walk around and see everything :D But, I go for 2nd round and I think I cannot move..... It's STUCKKKK !!! But, It's still FUN :D you can attack everyone and everyone can attack you :D you will really totally WET !!!

After 1st round I buy my own water gun #lol

Before have a water fight :)

Second day of Songkran I went to Silom Road by MRT :) and when we cross the road water gun already everywhere ~ It's really TRUE that if you go late you will find more crowded place for sure ~ Silom Road is bigger that khaosan road for the first round (walk along soi 3) I just think it's just the same with khaosan. the different are the place is larger and is less crowded because its still has a lot of space to STOP :) I don't know but when we want to go home we see a lot of gay ~~ okay Silom road is very famous because of a lot of gay were hang out there :) First time for me to see a lot of gay (and trust me they are really handsome for me) ~ and they have a show and it's make me think that if you want to have a different taste of songkran maybe you can go to silom road and it's really like a big PARTY !!!

at MRT elevator ~ we're ready !!

I think you must to rotate your screen ~

we have a great time at Silom Road :)

ANDDDD ..... I will show you the REAL PARTY !!

but I think you must to rotate it again :')

It's enough about Songkran Festival and I cannot get wet anymore :') hxhx. Happy Thai New Year :D maybe you can try Songkran Festival Next year ~ it's from 13th - 15th April every year :D you can celebrate at Chiang Mai or Pattaya too :D

SONGKRAN (THAI'S NEW YEAR)

SONGKRAN is the most anticipating event in Thailand (maybe) for all of Thai people and foreigner. So, today our university (Kasetsart University) make an event to celebrate songkran.

SPLASHING WATER EVERYWHERE !!

Everyone look very excited with their water gun and a bucket ~ Thai people belief that if you splash the water will purify your soul for a new year :) I really like when I see a lot of people play together and spent their time together because we cannot buy togetherness. In Evening, I'm not sure but there is a concert (i think) but I cannot get in because I cannot speak thai well so I cannot ask the officer.

Actually, Songkran will be held in a lot of place in THAILAND, but I will celebrate Songkran in Bangkok for now. Songkran will be start next monday to next wednesday. I will celebrate in Khaosan Road and Silom (maybe with my Thailand Friends). Actually, I alr prepare myself for tmr but I miss read the announcement so I miss that event today.

I'll tell you more about Songkran maybe after Songkran End and I'm not sure can give you a lot of photo or not. But, you can find in google too. :)

Thank you for reading :D

TIPS & TRICK TO SHOPPING IN BANGKOK

After a month I stayed in Bangkok maybe I can give you a little tips and trick to shopping around Bangkok. In Indonesia, we have a lot of online shop with the title firsthand bangkok fashion so everyone really like to have an import product. But, after I shop by myself in Bangkok the price in online shop has a big range with the price in Bangkok so If you have time and want to get the cheaper one maybe you can go to Bangkok by yourself and I think the price is more expensive because of shipping cost.

Where you can go to shopping ?

The most famous place to shopping is Chatuchak Weekend Market or JJ Market.
Chatucak Weekend Market

I think everyone like to go to Chatuncak Market (Foreigner and Thai People), you can find a lot of things in here. But, it's really crowded, if you come late don't worry you can see a lot of new booth open at night. You can bargain the price but maybe around 10 or 20 bath, someone say that if you buy more you can get cheaper price. But, I don't think so or maybe you must to speak Thai if you want to get the cheaper one.

Another place that you can go is Platinum Plaza

Platinum Plaza, Behind Central World

you can take a BTS to Platinum Plaza or Taxi or Bus if you know the number of the Bus. If you don't like to walk too far you better choose taxi or bus. In Platinum, I think this mall has an Air Conditioner so it must be cooler that JJ Market. It's Big and If you want to get the cheaper one just buy more that one piece and you will get the cheaper one, but I just go there and buy nothing. Because I don't like that stuff or maybe I'm just to tired. But, if you want to buy something you will see the price tag everywhere so you will know about the price without asking the seller. I prefer to buy a stuff at Union Mall, and I think it's cheaper and nearer with my place.

So, the next one is Union Mall

Union Mall, Pahon Yothin MRT Station

Union Mall just like Platinum Plaza but it's smaller than Platinum and I think platinum is more organized than Union Mall but you cannot find everything here. If you want to buy something you can go here but if you want to buy everything in one place I think JJ Market is better choice for you. Anw, Union Mall has a Movie Theater so you can watch there.

There are most popular place to spent your money, but when I alr stay for a month and go around Bangkok, I think everyplace have their own market and you can find everything in that place in this market maybe the price will be cheaper or more expensive but it's really depend on the seller (trust me) and If you find something just buy it because maybe you can't find that again (actually where is the shop). And I think every market has their own stuff so many of them cannot be found in another place. BUT if you want to try have a really crowded shopping you can go to that favorite place.

Anddddd..... Maybe you can go to the Khaosan Road and China Town but I never been there so I'll tell you later after I go there (for sure). I Hope I can help you to shopping in Bangkok and It's okay if you cannot speak Thai they will stay give you a discount !!! :) :) but if you can speak thai it will be better. Just remember how to ask how much and the number and can you give me a discount ? maybe I'll make another post about Thai language after I can speak better :) or you can use google translate, I alr try that with my Thai Friend :)

Thank you for reading :D

Where to STAY in BANGKOK ?

I don't really know about the quality of hotel in bangkok but I think it will be better if you choose somewhere around MRT or BTS station because it will be hard if you must to take a bus. maybe you can use a van but almost all of van is on victory monument (maybe you can choose somewhere around there).

BTS and MRT Maps

I think it will be better if you stay around siam, chatunchak, sukhumvit and silom.

If you stay near siam you can take BTS from Ratchathewi, Siam (CEN), and National Stadium

if you stay near chatunchak you can take direct bus to Victory Monument.

Everything will be easier if you stay near BTS or MRT station because you can just walk to the station directly.

I'll give you some advice to choose your place to stay :

#1 Low Budget :
you can find your low budget place in "Hostel World" (Link to Hostel World)
it's really famous among backpacker.

#2 Family Trip :
if you go with your family you can find more ex and more comfortable place to stay, you can check that in Agoda website or tripadvisor website.

#3 5/4 stars HOTEL :
for the best place and has a really unforgettable you can check on bangkok.com and I think if you stay around siam to on nut it's quite ex and really glamour especially thong lo. when I go to thong lo it's really nice place to hang out :D and you must to pay more.

okayyy :) see yaaaaa ~

Warm Regards,

Place to EAT around Kasetsart University

CRAVING for a cheap and delicious food ? don't worry we have a lot of place to eat around Kasetsart (because I stay in Kasetsart University (KU)).

KU has many canteen, bamai (idk how to write but they say like that or central canteen) you can find a lot of food here, after that SciKU Food Court (you need a card), Engineering Canteen at Faculty of Engineering and KU Avenue (But it's more expensive than another canteen). If you want something more you can go across ngamwonwan 1 gate and you can see home village from that gate and you can see ultraman with the apron.

Home Village Kaset (Night View)

if you want to have street food you can walk to pahonyotin gate and you can walk along the street.
The famous one maybe sushi 5/10 bath and SAM (Steak and More)

if you alr feeling bored with that food you can go to Central Ladprao Plaza, Major Cineplex  (you can take bus No. 63, 24, 545 from ngamwonwan 1, ngamwonwan 3, and pahonyotin) to shopping mall and you can go to community mall but the price quite expensive, you can take a taxi from pahonyotin gate to Nawamin Festival Walk or Choco Ville

Nawamin Festival Walk

Choco Ville Bangkok

maybe if you want to go there in the same time you can go to Choco Ville first and then go to Nawamin Festival Walk so you can go to KU Directly :)

If you want to go around more you can go to Chatunchak Park (you can go directly by Bus No. 29 or 510) from vipavadi gate to Mo Chit BTS station. you can go to JJ MARKET (in weekend) and Night Market at JJ Green (everyday)

The End for TODAY ~~ :) I hope I can give you more information later :D
